Circular, Sustainable & Biobased Coatings: Applying the SSbD Framework

On Tuesday, November 18 (10:00 – 13:00 CET), European Bioplastics will host an online workshop in the framework of the BIO4COAT project, focusing on how the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework is being applied in the development of circular, sustainable and biobased coatings.

With contributions from leading EU-funded initiatives – including BIO4COAT, TORNADO, IRISS, and BIO-SUSHY – the session will bring together researchers, industry representatives and policymakers to share tools, methodologies, and real-world case studies from across the innovation ecosystem.

The event aims to:

  • Exchange practical insights and experiences on implementing SSbD principles in the design and development of circular, sustainable and biobased coatings.
  • Facilitate dialogue across the SSbD innovation landscape.
  • Gather interest in the creation of a Cluster on Circular, Sustainable and Biobased Coatings, to be established and facilitated by European Bioplastics.
